Silencio’s Super STAMs

The Silencio crew has been super busy working on our projects as well as getting to know the locals! At Foundations, we like to share our daily STAMs, which stands for Super Totally Awesome Moments. Here’s a list of Silencio’s most recent Super STAMs:

Luke: Meeting everyone on the trip. It feels like we’ve known each other for weeks.

Stefan: Every dinner is always weird and lots of fun.

Ava: The fiesta de bienvenida which was awkward at first but by the end of the night we were all dancing and playing.

Amy: Getting to know locals through everything we’ve done like the party, soccer, and tag.

Sasha: Playing with the younger girls in Silencio, all the while smiling and laughing.

Kiara: Playing soccer in the rain with the Ticos.

Austin: Spending time and playing soccer with the Ticos/Ticas.

Emy: Playing girls versus boys basketball today in the salon.

Axel: Playing soccer with the Ticos.

Madigan: Visiting the finca with Don Hermán and milking a cow for the first time.

Will: Connecting with the locals and having them teach me new words.

Izzy: Connecting with new friends in our group and with the locals.

Andrew: Watching all of you try to communicate with the Ticos and seeing everyone take care of each other within the group.

Lisa: Watching the progression of our projects with good weather and epic singalongs.

Sarah-Graham: Going to the finca to milk the cows because that was such a new experience and it was exciting to watch the students engage with the local culture and people. Our group has done a phenomenal job of immersing themselves into the life of Silencio and eagerly learning more about this place.
