As we wrap up our last days at the villa, we reflected on our Super Super Totally Awesome Moments (SSTAMs) from our time in Playa Hermosa!

Will: Exploring Liberia because we had freedom to find things ourselves and we had to trust ourselves to figure out the way on our own.

Luke: The whole experience and adventure of going to the white beach. We hiked down, then I played guitar and snorkeled there, and then we hiked back up.

Austin: Snorkeling, surfing, and the ecotourism “town hall meeting”. I got to see cool fish, I loved surfing, and the town hall taught me a lot about tourism and ecotourism in Costa Rica.

Axel: Exploring Liberia on our own and the town hall meeting. I like arguing, and it was great to debate a point.

Stefan: Going to the white sand beach and snorkeling. I also loved playing the tennis ball game.

Ava: Snorkeling on the white sand beach. I had never snorkeled before, and it was amazing to see all the different fish.

Kiara: All of our times at the beach. I don’t get to go to the ocean a lot at home, so I just really liked spending time there.

Madigan: The white sand beach day and the sunset the following night on Playa Hermosa. It was fun to be there with the whole group.

Izzy: Going to all the beaches, especially the white sand beach. I also love to surf and haven’t gotten to surf this summer yet, so it was great to surf at Playa Grande.

Sasha: Surfing. I had never surfed before, and I was able to get up on the board.

Amy: All of our time on the beach. I don’t get to go to the ocean much at home and the volcanic, black sand on Playa Hermosa is really cool.

Emi: All of the sunsets that we’ve seen. They are just so beautiful and peaceful.

From snorkeling to sunsets to cultural exploration, we have done it all in Playa Hermosa!

 

Now on to the despedida party and the final reuniting of the whole group for the last couple of days together!
