After a festive welcoming party last night, the Silencio crew began two of its service projects today. Before starting, our students visited the elementary school and met the teacher Don Edgar and his fourteen students. They take great pride in their school and their relationship with Putney. One half of our group began painting the school’s cafeteria with the help of local children. The other half removed debris from the sidewalks, which we will touch up with cement in the coming days. We finished our day with soccer games, frisbee, and lots of giggles!
